Mine Foreman
Location: Tumbler Ridge, BC
Peace River Coal Inc. (PRC) is a subsidiary of the Anglo American PLC Group located in North East BC. We are currently accepting resumes for the position of Mine Foreman.
The Mine Foreman reports directly to the General Mine Foreman. This position directly supervises the day to day load/haul; drill/blast; road construction and maintenance activities of the Trend mine. The candidate will maintain a safe mining operation through effective and positive leadership of the workforce, ensuring compliance applicable to all regulatory laws, company policies/procedures while meeting the required production quantities and quality as defined in budgets and forecasts in mine planned.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a BC Shiftboss Certificate, a valid First Aid Certificate and have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience in a large open pit mining operation with equipment background as required. Holder of BC Mining Blasting Certificate would be considered an asset. You will have:
- Strong interpersonal communication and supervisory skills with the proven ability to lead the team
- Highly organized with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and be computer proficient
The Company operates a non-contractual incentive bonus scheme, the payment and level of which are discretionary.
