Peace River Coal’s zero harm policy assures all employees and contractors of a secure, controlled workplace.
Zero Harm
Based on three simple tenets, zero harm is the policy that underlies everything we do:

Zero Mindset – We believe that all injuries and occupational illnesses are preventable

Standards – We must all follow the same, non-negotiable rules

No Repeats – If an incident does occur, it’s our responsibility to identify how it can be prevented in the future.
Health and Safety is the responsibility of every member of the workforce. Peace River Coal is committed to our goal of eliminating work-related injuries and occupational illnesses to achieve our ultimate goal of zero harm. It is intended that every member of our workforce returns home fit and well at the end of each shift. We believe that one injury or occupational illness is one too many.
In meeting these commitments we will develop, implement and maintain a health and safety management system that meets internationally recognized standards and enables us to:
